Our thoughts are with all those impacted by the Coronavirus.
Health and Safety Precautions
We are following the guidance of local health officials and the CDC with regard to employees traveling and working remotely. Some details to note:
Remote Workforce and Business Continuity
- All IT21st staff who are able to work from home, have been working from home since March 16, 2020.
- Moving to a remote work environment will reduce the number of team members in our offices to those needed for essential on-site services and will create “social distancing” as directed by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). The technician will wear a mask and gloves and carry disinfectant wipes.
- Appropriate management oversight is in place to ensure continuity of business operations and client service by equipping employees with resources necessary to continue uninterrupted in a remote work environment.
Onsite Visits
- For client project travel, IT21st employees will confirm our clients’ preferences for vendor visits and activities and will work on alternatives to travel, including web and video conferencing, phone calls, and other options.
- Employees who travel to locations with CDC travel warnings in place are asked to report their travel to company managers and HR, and to self-quarantine if recommended by local health officials.
- Employees who are sick or suspect they may have been exposed are not permitted to travel.
Cleaning Procedures
At the present time, our offices are open while reinforcing work-from-home policies for the majority of IT21st employees. We are giving increased attention to cleaning, disinfecting, and sanitizing our work spaces. These measures include:
- Multiple daytime and nighttime janitors disinfecting all restrooms, break rooms, door handles, and common area surfaces
- Hand sanitizer dispensers for team members placed in break rooms, cafeterias, restrooms, and fitness centers.
- Individual hand sanitizers and surface wipes offered to team members
Employee Health and Safety
We are in regular communications with our employees on current health and safety recommendations related to coronavirus. Health and safety measures include:
- Reminders on proper prevention of spreading germs and illness
- Regular employee communications on symptoms to watch for, what do to in case of suspected illness, when to stay home from work, availability of benefits such as virtual doctor’s office visits, and availability of free flu vaccines
- Updates on current CDC travel recommendations
